Great location, large restaurant with plenty of seating options. They have a great selection of draft beers. Fish tacos were good, nice size portion and fish was tasty. The chicken sandwich and burger were very disappointing. Even ordered medium rare for the burger but it was overcooked and well done. Unlike most restaurants they don’t advertise the weight of the burger and it was obvious why. For $18 it was about 1/4 # patty in a big bun. The hot honey chicken sandwich also had a very small piece of chicken for the price. Overall disappointed with this visit and don’t plan to return.

We came here on a whim as we were looking for a place that was still open and didn't have a long wait. Despite the crowd, the staff were courteous and friendly. Our table was ready in less time than originally quoted. Naturally, not all of us were ready to order our drinks right away, so our server took the order from those who were ready and came back to pick up the stragglers. Drink delivery time was ok, probably about average with other places we've been to. Food was good. Tasty and served at a proper temperature. The fish was cooked perfectly. Wait times were a bit long, but not objectionable. It was a crowded night, and we were in no rush.

They have a TON OF VEGAN OPTIONS. I ordered grain bowl this time. The butternut squash was totally raw, they literally cut it and put it in the bowl, yes hard to believe I know. Anyways, black rice was undercooked but not the end of the world. Tahini sauce was good. Tomatoes were tasty. Previously I ordered their vegan burger too, it was good though but next time I will definitely not order grain salad but sth else. Overall a really good place and nice atmosphere 👌🏻 😌 prices are a little on the higher end but again, a good variety of vegan options 🌱

Founder’s sundae was the highlight. Loved the pizza as well (got the green mountain without the maple since I love salt more than sugar). Amazing beer selection - being from here but living hours away it was nice getting to have all my old favorite breweries latest concoctions.

Large tap beer selection (hence the name taphouse), friendly and attentive staff, and spacious dining area. Dropped in for a burger and beer after a Penn State football game and the Federal Taphouse was exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of room in the facility so there wasn't a cramped feeling at all despite a large crowd. Taphouse Burger was cooked well and the house-made chips on the side were delicious. Great place for a burger and a beer.

Nice find in the middle of town. We had to work a bit to actually find the place but did so with the help of Google Maps. Clean, modern, friendly staff, good food and a large beer selection. Special props to our waiter who picked up my wife’s purse that had accidentally fallen on the floor from her seat.

We enjoyed First Friday Downtown last night! All the live music and Pride month recognition was fabulous. We dined at Federal Taphouse State College. The Crab Mac n Cheese was delicious, cheesy creaminess with lots of crab flavor, nice Old Bay Seasoning lightly toasted on top. It would have been nice to have a few bigger chunks of crabmeat, but still was great and more than enough for an entree. Hubby got the Honey Smoke Wings. Tasty smoky sweet flavor on meaty wings; finger licking good! And because it was time to get the weekend started we had cocktails: Kentucky Buck and a Moscow Mule, both were generous, refreshing and a perfect start to Friday night! Service was very prompt and friendly. You can’t go wrong here!

Nice dining room with an elevated view. We were greeted by a friendly staff from start to finish. The condensed menu looked promising, but the food delivered was disappointing. Parmesan Garlic Chicken wings were sauceless and flavorless. Same for the fries. Friends burger and tacos, also meh. Had to ask for salt, which was little help. Seems to be a nice place to have a craft beer and watch tv. For food, never again.
